Ginger Radio Hour: Mark Trecka, Michal Mart (Audio)
The Beacon Prison Books Project gets free books to incarcerated people across New York. The project was founded and bloomed at Binnacle Books in Beacon in 2019 and has since mailed out 3,000+ books. Cofounder Mark Trecka and Michal Mart, one of the lead organizers of the project, talk about the volunteer-led program and how anyone can donate and help.
Host Justin Maiman, from Cairo, shares his latest inspirations on the "Ginger Radio Hour." The show features music, field recordings, performances, and interviews, primarily with people in and around the Catskill Mountains of New York live from WGXC's Acra studio. Excerpts of interviews on this show are often heard again later on the "WGXC Morning Show" or the "WGXC Afternoon Show," or "All Together Now!"
