ShortWaveMusic's "All Night Flight," originally produced for Radius, and is followed by a playlist of works selected by the artist. "All Night Flight" is a wide-ranging sonic odyssey which reflects ecologies of diverse kinds: environmental, religious, radiophonic, and beyond. The listener experiences natural sounds juxtaposed with unnatural sounds, robotic speech mixed with human speech, field recordings of electronic amplification carrying human sound across rural environments. The hope is that the listener will hear the world as an endlessly recombinant sonic field where every noise, song, and sound takes its place in a perfect, haunting, and eternal arrangement. "All Night Flight" is performed annually as an immersive nocturnal ambient sound excursion throughout Southern California.
