Dec 21, 2020
Created by Sarah Washington (2018). Introduced by Jess Speer.

In October of 2017, a group of climate researchers, activists and artists were gathered by Cape Farewell, a climate art institution, and the Climate Psychology Alliance to participate in a psychological research method called the Social Dreaming Matrix. After viewing powerful artworks related to climate change, the participants were led in a conversation about their dreams, associations and feelings to uncover and create new meanings. Radio artist Sarah Washington produced the following piece, One Thought Fills Immensity, to help suss out important themes in the cultural subconscious around climate change. This project is the first in a series of projects Washington created in the context of Mobile Radio, the itinerant radio project of Washington & Knut Aufermann, around the idea of dreaming, and in particular collective dreaming and shared dreamspaces. - Introduced by Wave Farm Radio Artist Fellow 2020/2021, Jess Speer.
