Polish artist Jeff Gburek writes, "My new album 'The Radio & The Sea' seeks to lend form or voice to... atmospheric phenomena as witnessed by radio waves recorded in shortwave and middle and VLF (very low frequency) bands along with hydrophones and coastal recordings of the surf." The album was recorded in Bulgaria and released November 10, 2023.

Gburek calls himself a guitarist, composer, sound designer, field recordist, shortwave radio poet, blending electro-acoustic, electronica, spectral comp., cracked circuits, sounding organic objects with an ear towards earth voices. He studied Javanese and Balinese gamelan and theories of Partch and Xenakis. He often works with shortwave radios.
