Tribute to Robert Ashley, who died March 3, 2014. Ashley was, according to Wikipedia, "an American composer, who was best known for his operas and other theatrical works, many of which incorporate electronics and extended techniques. Along with Gordon Mumma, Ashley was also a major pioneer of audio synthesis." On the occasion of Ashley's death, we rebroadcast "Morton Feldman Says," by Robert Ashley, performed by Bill Hellermann and Max Goldfarb. Bill Hellermann and Max Goldfarb perform Robert Ashley's Morton Feldman Says live in WGXC 90.7-FM's Hudson Studio on April 9, 2011. Following the performance the two join Galen Joseph-Hunter in conversation.
