Cory Arcangel reworks obsolete computer systems of the 1970s and ’80s, such as the Commodore 64 and Atari 800. Solo exhibitions have at Team Gallery in NY, Migros Museum in Zurich, Deitch Projects NY, and FACT in Liverpool. Selected group exhibitions include the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum NY, Space 1026 Philadelphia, New Museum of Contemporary Art NY, Carnegie Museum of Art Pittsburgh, P.S.1 NY, The Museum of Modern Art NY, Royal Academy of Art London, The Liverpool Biennial, and the Whitney Biennale. Cory has performed at The Cartier Foundation Paris, The Albright Knox Art Gallery Buffalo, The Swiss Institute NY, The Mattress Factory Pittsburgh, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
Paper Rad’s members are Benjamin Jones, Jessica Ciocci, and Jacob Ciocci. Their work synthesizes popular material from television, video games, and advertising, reprogramming these references with an exuberantly neo-primitivist digital aesthetic. They have performed and exhibited at Foxy Productions in NY, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the New York Underground Film Festival, Space 1026 in Philadelphia, Tate Britain, and the Contemporary Museum in Honolulu. They have also produced several records and present all of their activities on their eye-popping web site (www.paperrad.org).
