DETAILS AND HOW TO APPLY:
The fee for the week is $175 which covers all meals. You will need a tent, sleeping bag and enough clothes for one week. A laundry day may be arranged midweek. You will have use of shower facilities on a rotating schedule. Set up and clean up of meals will also rotate. You may want to bring a camp mattress, in case camp is moved inside the barn during inclement weather, and a bicycle. Lake Taghkanic State Park swimming beach is accessible via bike trail (1.5 miles away). You may provide your own transportation; carpooling is encouraged. Also, pick-up and drop-off at MetroNorth or Amtrak train stations can be arranged.

The work of Max Goldfarb intersects many disciplines. His projects take the form of objects, improvised electronics, radio transmissions, publications, and performative situations. His ongoing project Mobile 49, centers around a radio-utility studio housed inside a converted emergency vehicle, drawing together many facets Goldfarb's creative project.
Goldfarb has exhibited his work at such venues as the SculptureCenter, NY; Neuberger Museum of Art, Purchase, NY; Western Front, Vancouver, B.C.; Mjellby Art Center, Halmstad. Sweden; Art & Idea, Mexico City; De Stadgalerij, NL; and Fringe Exhibitions Space, Los Angeles, CA. His work will be included in the upcoming exhibit, Burocrazy at 99 Proyecto in Guatemala, curated by Ivan Navarro. Goldfarb graduated from the MIT Visual Studies Program in 2006. http://m49.us/

WGXC: Hands-on Radio is a community-run media project, re-envisioning radio as an innovative platform for local participation. Our inclusive programming connects diverse voices, and distributes information across the public spectrum in New York's Greene and Columbia counties.
