free103point9 and The Neuberger Museum of Art are co-curating the exhibition "Off the Grid" at the museum from March 30 until July 1, 2008. On December 5th, free103point9's co-founder and Program Director, Tom Roe, will give a talk as part of the New Media Lecture Series at the Neuberger Museum. Roe's presentation will track the history of free103point9's activities and define Transmission Art practices, providing a foundation for audiences in anticipation of the "Off the Grid" exhibition.
The New Media Lecture Series at Purchase College, State University of New York, puts internationally recognized artists, technologists and theorists in dialogue with the Purchase campus three times a semester. This program is co-sponsored by the New Media program and the Neuberger Museum of Art. Lectures typically take place on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm at the Museum. Lectures are free and open to the public.
