The Wave Farm Residency Program is pleased to welcome Simon Ripoll-Hurier (Pantin, France). As part of a non-narrative experimental film project, Diana, Simon Ripoll-Hurier has been setting and filming a series of situations related to radio waves, to human or non-human communication, to the cosmos, that made him develop collaborations with Radio Hams, musicians, children, or birders… During the summer of 2015, he went to “Rocket City” in Alabama, to “Camp Evans” in New Jersey, and to “Luna Park” on Coney Island, working with the filmmaker Tommy Davis on the setting of a series of new situations. They met one rocket, two birdwatchers, an old military camp, a group of Radio hams, some "Dymaxion Deployment Units", an amusement park, fireworks... The last filmed situation of the journey will take place at Wave Farm, activating a selection of the material gathered during the summer.
