Apr 06, 2015
Hosted by Cecilia Tkaczyk.
Fracking waste: Should we be concerned? A look at the use of low-volume fracking waste as a de-icer on roads, and the dumping of out-of-state high-volume fracking waste in New York landfills. Misti Duvall, Staff Attorney with the Watershed Program for Riverkeeper and Elizabeth Moran, Water and Natural Resources Associate of Environmental Advocates of New York will be in the studio to discuss the issue. Moran is the author of “License to Dump,” a report that details how, despite a state ban that does not allow high-volume hydrofracking, New York permits Pennsylvania to dump radioactive fracking waste inside our borders. Hosted by Cecilia Tkaczyk.
