Anne Waldman II (Audio)
Aug 22, 2024
Unearthing a recording of a 1996 performance she gave in Albany, this month’s program celebrates the work of Anne Waldman. Waldman, a pioneering force behind the Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church in the Bowery, and co-founder of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, is author of dozens of books, including The Iovis Trilogy, Bard, Kinetic, and Trickster Feminism.
Blending words and sounds, bringing to the airwaves live performances as well as field and studio recordings by writers the host has crossed paths with over the course of a quarter century.
