On Sat., Jun. 17, Sally Roesch Wagner spoke to a standing room only crowd at the Athens Cultural Center on the topic of "The Rest of the Story of the Suffrage Movement." This event was held in conjunction with the current ACC exhibit, "A Declaration of Sentiments: Reflections On the Centennial of Women's Rights to Vote in New York State," curated by Carrie Feder. Feder provides the introduction to Wagner in this recording. The show is on view until Aug. 20, 2017. Wagner is a historian, activist, author of numerous books and articles on women's history, a professor at Syracuse University, and the Executive Director of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Center for Social Justice Dialogue, among numerous other accomplishments. Her book, "Sisters In Spirit" documents the influence of the Haudenosaunee (Iriquois) women on the revolutionary vision of early EuroAmerican feminists. (48:50)
