Andes Sprouts Society

Andes Sprouts Society is a non-profit arts organization located on 23 acres of farmland off of highway 28 in the Catskills region of New York. The organization will host artists-in-residence as well as operate a small community supported agriculture (CSA)farm which will provide produce throughout the growing season for residents of Brooklyn, NY as well as local visitors via the on-site farm stand and local farmer's market. The CSA is in its fourth year of operation and the residency program begins this summer. The Andes Sprouts Society intends to integrate innovative new media technologies in small-scale agricultural settings while simultaneously fostering a cultural exchange between the largely urban art world and the traditionally isolated small farming communities.
