It's been five years. friends! Celebrate a half-decade of Mostly Singles, at WGXC-FM. Mostly, anyway – some of those broadcasts were guest DJs, but who’s counting? Wondrous music: Wendy Carlos, Delmore Brothers, Willard Robison, Drifters, Velvet Underground, Buzzcocks, Waller, Lang, Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Rodney, New Zealand greats. Nothing says loving like sustaining monthly support. It’ll be beautiful.
Claverack resident Michael Wilde presents Mostly Singles, selections from an extensive collection of 45 rpm vinyl — music from the 1950s, '60s, '70s, and early '80s, mixed with some 78 rpm selections from American popular song and field recordings from the Library of Congress and folklore archives.
