In the latest Hudson Valley Word of Mouth segment, Julia Joern visits Susan Baldaserini and Shai Kessler, the couple behind Reed Street Bottle Shop in Coxsackie. They founded their shop five years ago backed by a belief in sourcing wine, spirits, and ciders from small, independent, and regional producers, including some rare and hard-to-find bottles.

Baldaserini simultaneously launched Pilothouse Paper, a tiny stationery and gift shop that is also located on Reed Street (the historic district's main street). Since opening both businesses, they have played a key part in this Hudson River town's retail revival.
