Composer and multi-instrumentalist Elliott Sharp in a solo set on 8-string guitarbass, playing selections from his album, Octal, and sections from a concert performance of pieces from Dispersion, Sharp's 2018 album, with his NYC ensemble SysOrk (Rachel Golub, violin; Shayna Dulberger, bass; and Terry L. Green II, trombone) and six members of the Slovakian collective, The Veni Academy. Elliot Sharp is known for using algorithmic scores and graphic notation, free and structured improvisation, extended techniques, and imaginative software and is a master of genres from blues to noise. All recorded at the Roulette concert hall in Brooklyn on a single night in November 2018.
