The Art of the Hudson Valley: Bryan Henry (Audio)

Bryan Henry retired from the MTAPD after 24 years of service where he was recognized for his work with the homeless as a Community Service Officer in The New York Times as well as numerous other pieces in both national and international print media, independent films, television and radio. He has been published in transportation security periodicals. He also published a weekly in-house paper for his department for several years. Henry earned a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies from Fordham University. Henry was instrumental in developing an interdisciplinary program relative to conducting homeless outreach and case management with a network of Community Based Organizations, social workers, psychiatric mental health providers and civilian case workers. The program was called MTA Connections which also received media attention. Henry briefly wrote a column for the Hudson Valley News called “Another Perspective” and has been exploring his newly discovered artistic potential over the last two years and has several pieces on display in the Gallery at Rhinebeck in New York. Henry currently resides in Hyde Park, NY.
