Donald Drumpf Theatre: Vol. 50 The Way We Were. "Donald Drumpf Theatre" this week looks back at "The Way We Were." Songs from Billy Joel ("Movin' Out"), Bobby Day ("Rockin' Robin"), The Magnetic Fields ("The Machine in Your Hand"), The David S. Ware Quartet ("The Way We Were"), and Golden Earring ("Twilight Zone"). Clips and excerpts from Sarah Huckabee Sanders, John Oliver, Chuck Todd, Joe Scarborough, Stuart Varney, Joy Reid, Jake Tapper, David Muir, Mika Brzezinski, Amy Goodman, Stephanie Ruhle, Brian Williams, Orrin Hatch, Paul Ryan, Vito Corleone, Omarosa Manigault, Richard Nixon, Regina George, Seth Meyers, Anderson Cooper, Christiane Amanpour, Stephen Colbert, Ali Velshi, and Brian Stelter. "Donald Drumpf Theatre" is an original radio theatre show, with most sounds culled from the previous week, about a fictional, theatrical presidency. Contradictions tell the story, with songs, skits, and clips from political news shows and late-night comedy routines. The definition of "radio theatre" is stretched here, with an updated Dickie Goodman and/or Richard Foreman-meets-mashup style sometimes, and a more straightforward take other weeks.
