Overlooked: New, New Amsterdam Records (Audio)

This broadcast will highlight the artist-run, nonprofit recording label New Amsterdam Records. The label focuses on album-based music without walls or an agenda. A diverse selection of new, New Amsterdam releases from 2020 will be featured, including Benjamin Louis Brody and Ian Chang; Methods Body; IT Boy; Tristan Perich; Roomful of Teeth; Ted Hearne; Bec Plexus; Molly Joyce; Latitude 49; Sarah Kirkland Snider; yMusic; Michi Wiancko; Travis Laplante; and, William Brittelle.

After the local news at noon, “Overlooked” is a show focusing on overlooked and under-heard jazz, improvisational, and other fringe music, from early roots to contemporary experiments, a mix of familiar to rare, classic to weird.
