Mutualism & (De)Composition: A Sonic Foray (Audio)

Oct 20, 2019
Presented by Seth Chrisman at The Second Annual John Cage Trust Mycology Weekend.

A sound piece exploring relationships between fungi, humans, and other organisms.

Seth Chrisman is a sound artist and amateur mycologist, currently employed as the Audio / Video Supervisor for The Fisher Center at Bard College. His works with sound often explore the amplification of environmental energy flows and phenomena, making audible the inaudible through spatiotemporal collage. He has a burgeoning interest in ecological design and applied mycology, practices low-tech mushroom cultivation at home, and spends as much time as possible in the woods. He is an uninvited guest in unceded Mohican territory.
