In honor of Women's History month, "The Score" features the work of musical composer, Elliot Goldenthal and his compositions for the film, Frida, based on the celebrated and tragic life of Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo. The soundtrack also features music by: Lila Downs, Chavela Vargas, Caetano Veloso and Salma Hayek, who also starred as Frida Kahlo in the film. The album won both the Academy Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score in 2003.
