Francesco Fonassi

Francesco Fonassi (Brescia, 1986) is an Italian artist, sonic researcher, and composer operating in the field of contemporary art, live media, and experimental music. His work develops through actions, recordings, environmental configurations, radio transmissions, listening sessions, live performances, and the creation of audiovisuals and sensory spaces. Fonassi's recent work deals with vocal regression in relation with ancient and modern architectural sites, pseudo-physics phenomena, western psychological approach to meditation, healing durational forces, and infrastructure design for body/mind dissociation through the act of listening.

Francesco Fonassi is also part of VILL∆ collective in Brescia, Italy, running an underground music/performance program in an early 19th century villa since 2013. In 2017 the Villa Recordings label was born in response to the need to collect and publish the unreleased projects of the collective as well as collaborations with musicians and artists who were hosted throughout the years.
