Come join tea expert Kim Bach in this hands-on class as she teaches the basics of Spicy & Smoky Teas - their origin, harvesting, preparation and taste. Blame the economy for smoky teas. In order to maintain the quality and taste of Chinese teas during the 15-18 month ocean voyage, producers developed a new method of rolling, oxidizing and drying their teas. Covered in this class will be Czar Nicholas Russian Caravan Tea, Lapsang Souchong and cochin Masala Chai. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Entry fee includes 3 1-oz. packets of the featured teas to take home.
