A lecture "Surveillance After Snowden," presented 3-10-2014 at MIT by David Lyon, Professor and Chair of Surveillance Studies at Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario). This was the annual Arthur Miller Lecture, sponsored by Miller's surviving family along with MIT's Program in Science, Technology, and Society (web.mit.edu/sts). Professor Lyon points out that surveillance has been around in various forms since the mid-19th century. He expresses gratitude to Snowden for igniting discussion and debate over the U.S. and Canadian governments' current programs. Recorded for Truth and Justice Radio, the award-winning weekly program 6-10am Sundays at WZBC 90.3FM (Newton, MA), streamed and archived for two weeks at wzbc.org.
