Teacher and book artist Erin Sweeney shows traditional book binding technique. The coptic binding is as old as the hills, used by the Copts, an early Christian sect in Egypt, and is a lovely exposed-spine binding that opens flat--making a great sketchbook or journal in which to work. We'll use the paste papers we made in the Thursday eve workshop, and you'll leave with a finished book, and the knowledge to make more in the future.
