Produced by Various.

Recorded at St. Marks Church, December 2015, Poet Transmit engages in the connections between poetry, transmission, and performance. The project was launched by artist/curator, Victoria Keddie as a way to explore textual practice and modes of transmission. Writer/artist Cat Tyc acts as co-curator in the Transmit, exploring the potential of poetic projection and how it exists in expanded fields of time.

Poet Transmit focused on artists who use alternative methods of recitation or engage in the elements of music in their process. Featured artists included: Jen Liu, Laura Ortman, Nina Sobell, James Allister Sprang, Mahogany Browne, Cathy De La Cruz, Stephanie Barber, and Giovanna Olmos.

Poet Transmit is part of Poetry Project Friday Night Series, coordinated by Ariel Goldberg. The Friday Night Series is about building an audience and the power in listening as a group. The goal of the series is to create a space where work overflows with the risk of being in conversation with what the present commands.
