Tune into the premiere broadcast of Tracking The Odds, a new monthly program featuring selections from the Roulette Concert Archive. This month's broadcast features the Deep Listening Band. From delicious drones to raucous rainforests, this uncharacteristic, one might even say ornery, set with Pauline Oliveros (accordion and expanded instrument system electronics), David Gamper (keyboards and electronics), and Stuart Dempster (trombone, didjeridu) aka Deep Listening Band celebrated their 20th Anniversary. Known for meditative, rich, long duration work, this concert reveals how full of joy and surprise these musicians could be. Listen for Oliveros’ revealing guffaw at the end.
